Maegan | Portraits

It has been a while since I update this blog with my photography work. Today, I have some portraits to share with you. This is Maegan, a good friend of mine who goes to school with me at UAB but she's pursuing a different major. I've had so much fun photographing her yesterday because she had a little drink before the photoshoot. Why? To loosen up a bit! Haha anyway, it works! Look at these...

Shopping for a Dresser | Project 365

While shopping for her bestfriend's gift, she found the one and only dresser she has been looking for and of course, it gotta be PINK!

She said, "Oh, Mommy... I think I found my dresser..."

"I'm pretty sure, this is what I want, Mommy..."

"Oh, Mommy... please..." she begs.

"Well, we'll make daddy buy it for you for Christmas, okay?" I replied, and off we went! hehehe

There's something you got to know about me; I don't spoil my child with toys all the time. I just don't think I should buy her a toy whenever she says she wants one. She got to at least do something for herself, in order to be rewarded with a toy. It is just how I think I should do as a parent and this is how I choose to raise my child. What about do you? Do you buy your child a toy on the spot, every time he/ she asks for one?

Chicken & Her Egg | Project 365

Today, she learned an important lesson; how a chicken lays her egg!

T.G.I.F | Project 365

I'm so glad today is Friday; she needs a break, and I need a break and so we jumped and shouted "Yeyy! It's friday!" as we left the house this morning. Wish we had someone to photograph that hilarious moment! Oh well...

Anyway, this is from this morning, while she was waiting for her school bus. I love her new tee and jeans; they fit her real nice!

Pictures for A Greeting Card | Lifestyle Photography

Inspired by my photography mentor, I designed a greeting card using pictures of my little girl :-)

I just thought something like this would be great to perk up someone's day, don't you think so? I mean why should I limit myself to just putting my pictures only in an online album and photo books, right? I might as well use them for sending out greetings digitally!

I hope you like this one too...

Full of Zest | Project 365

Today, my little girl offered herself to be my model. She doesn't do this all the time, you know. And when she does, I know it will be a GREAT session! And it was. She was full of zest!

Natural Light | Lifestyle Photography

There's is something about natural light photography that I really like the most; the colors that natural light brings out of people and their surroundings. And the best time to take pictures under a natural light setting is anywhere between one and half hour before sunset. Of course, wearing bright colored clothes also helps :-)

The Karate Kid | Project 365

It was Allysa's 2nd day of Karate practice yesterday.

She was all set by the time I arrived at her school's gym. She already had her uniform on and oh... she looked so cute in that little white uniform! What surprises me is that my little playful girl can get real serious as and when she thinks she has to; take a look at these pictures.

But when she's back at being herself, this is what she looks like, at karate.

At some points, she had to do push ups too as a punishment for failing to listen to instructions carefully.

More importantly, she learns what discipline and attentiveness mean, something that can be useful to her when she is older. I'm so happy that she gets it :-)

Geordan Wright | Lifestyle Photography

Now, meet another friend of mine, Geordan Wright.

I met her last fall while we were both taking Gen Chem. Didn't think our paths would across again so soon. But they did. I took quite a number of pictures for her, and some with Aaron, but I like these two the most!
